Cooperability for Interoperability

How do you measure the maturity of health information system (HIS) interoperability?  How can a country know where it stands in terms of information system interoperability in order to continue to foster improved capabilities and HIS performance?  Join this session to learn about a new HIS Interoperability Maturity Toolkit that is being developed by MEASURE Evaluation and the Health Data Collaborative. The toolkit can help monitor a health information system’s progress on the path to a national HIS anchored in standards-based data exchange. In addition to unveiling the toolkit, speakers will share the story of how this toolkit was developed harnessing feedback from the global digital health community.  The session will also include an overview of the toolkit’s main components: the maturity model and its corresponding assessment tool. In addition, speakers will discuss how countries can determine where they fall along the path to resilient and interoperable HIS.
